Lauren and Jackson met in September of 2020 when they were invited to lunch by their mutual friend, Emily. Little did either of them know that this was supposed to be a set-up. After lunch, Emily created a group chat in hopes they would sidebar & start their own conversation. Weeks later, Emily was very presistant with wanting them to spend time together encouraging Lauren to reach out. To much of Lauren's surprise Jackson agreed to meet up with her and some of her friends to watch NFL football. After a Sunday funday, Jackson asked Lauren on their first date so he could prove he did indeed have clothes other than his beloved Steelers' gear.

Jackson proposed on September 20, 2025. Emily (of course) had asked Lauren to meet her for happy hour. There in the same restaurant in the exact same booth where Lauren and Jackson first met in 2020, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was the easiest "yes" of her life!
